PLAYWRITING:
Letitia Sweitzer, an affiliate of Decatur, GA-based Working Title Playwrights Inc. (WTP), was thrilled to have her play "The Last Good Deed" performed at Theatre Decatur in the spring of 2007. An earlier version won the 2005 Georgia Theatre Conference One-Act Play Competition, with a reading at the GTC annual convention October 15 in Gainesville, and was further developed as a part of Plays-in-Process by Process Theatre in Atlanta.
Her short play "Drawing the Line" was produced in May 2005 as part of a WTP/Atlanta Classical Theatre’s project entitled Passing. Her short play "Cancel the Arugula" was produced as a part of a Forum of short plays at the Looking Glass Theatre in New York City in December, 2005. Her short play "Behind Closed Doors" was the finale for another Looking Glass production in March 2007.
Her full-length comedy "West of Eden" grew from a short play to a one-act to full length, receiving recognition at each stage. Most recently the full-length was one of three world or regional premiers in the Power Play Festival produced by Essential Theatre in July 2008 in Atlanta.
